On Friday, students enjoyed a read aloud from Ms. Lanham. She read the students Crow Boy. From this story, students learned about the importance of treating others with kindness. After the read aloud, students interviewed their third-grade book buddies.

Ms. Staup came by to teach students about learning differences and disabilities. Students learned that these differences and challenges don't define us, just as Auggie's facial difference doesn't define him. August is a normal kid who desires friendship and connection, just like those in our community with disabilities. We should learn to understand one another and seek to acquire friends who are different from us. |
